  • Spot Oil Funds: One in the Hand Is Better than One in the Bush [View article]
That's why I do not invest in ETF's anymore. Play the pure and simple technique, and if you can't handle the heat....stay out of the kitchen. Futures and options are the way to go.

  • For Your Perusal: The Glory of Free Market Oil Supply [View article]
Number 1: The government CAN NOT SOLVE ALL YOUR PROBLEMS.

Number 2: If you are so upset about this....DO SOMETHING. Start your own green business, short the market, long the market. Quite crying about it and do something about it.

Number 3: Turn off CNBC and do your own darn research!

  • Which is a Better Short Candidate - Capital One or American Express? [View article]
I'm personally selling naked puts on COF at 25 strike. My reasoning is simple. Capital One Financial has a cash cushioning float.

I have sold naked puts on AXP, but I'm leary because I believe that AXP has less capital to protect itself.

Just my opinion and capital at work.

Capitol one financial will endure. They might be volatile short term, but they set side enough reserves to be fine.

This is a good quality company that is at a great discount, great product and will be growing as you see gasoline stock prices go down which means......more Monster drinks being sold, since that is where alot of their products are sold. Long Hansen!

I have to disagree with you all fine people. I'm a small option trader with only about 10K in my account, and I'm going to sell naked calls or buy puts on this company as well. Remember, we all have choices in life, its up to you to decide how you want to play the game.

    Happy investing to everyone.

Simple common sense. Long Hansen. Its not complicated. Good business, good earnings, and a niche product that is not going away. Starbucks and the 1,000 other cafes are still here...sipping caffeine all night.

  • Equities: In the Eye of the Storm  [View article]
Damn 60's drug inducing smelly hippies. Now they are paying for their stupid "feel good" antics....on the younger USA generation. They introduced "free love" and now...we have it all right. Free love and lots of good ol divorces as the consequences. Got to love those baby boomers!

Oh yes..and as far as baby boomers being DEBT free.... There are some, but I personally know more who are NOT. I use to work in the education system, and I can say that most are not financial stable. If anything, their parents GAVE THEM money through real estate holdings or a depleted 401 K.

I'm 29 no debt also and don't hippies.

  • Playing the Market as Delinquencies Continue to Rise [View article]
I personally find this article interesting. I agree with the Federal Reserves chart, and it is apparent that the general American consumer is in debt. However because of the elections, the marekt in general will probably not fall like others have stated. However, the REALITY is grim for the USA.

Markets are not rational, and I don't care what a candlestick or Stock chart says.....fundamentally... are in a big crisis, this is slowly unraveling. The rich get richer (using derivative investments) while the middleclass losses their assets (stocks, bonds, and real estate investments) and the poor just lose money (C.D's, Saving accounts).

I wish you all the best.

  • JDS Uniphase: Fiber Optics Reflect Consumer Credit Crunch [View article]
Nice article. This is the kind of "little" information that WSJ or Marketwatch don't really report. This is more of a long term indication of where we are heading versus the other guys useless rants.

    Keep up the good work!

  • As American Express Goes, So Goes the Economy [View article]
I personally I'm short Amex. That may not make me the most popular guy in the room, but common sense is screaming in my face: SHORT. I know that sooner or later, Amex will probably rebound. However, with all this credit mess, and the affluent consumer now hurting.....I truly believe we are in the recession. I wish all the best in their investing endeavors.
