    Here is a nice fact , unable to keep up apple abandoned its users and moved to the WINTEL platform designed by intel and microsoft. Thanks to the tights specs that WINTEL provides apple can and does make an apple branded wintel machines, same parts from the same comanies off the same shelves.

    it shows that in the global market apple has been unable to displace msft, to any degree to all.


    It is important because apple users would like the public to believe that the world is swinging to them but the fact is they are only holding ground in the global market and nothing else

    Less than 4% of the global PC market use apple; While 95% use windows.

    gaining market share by acquisitions is lousy for some industries and great for others.

    at the moment goog gets over 80% of the money with a 70% share, at a 60% share it might only get 60% of the money. Scale matters more than you might think.
