Crude Oil Prices: Bears Will Soon Win Out [View article]
A different theory about oil prices today - Notice the great debate about whether this is caused by supply/demand or speculators bubbles. But also remember the huge dollars set aside in "black boxes" by most of the oil producer countries, described as Sovereign Wealth Funds. Assuming these are controlled by oil producers who want to greatly increase the price of oil and at the same time bring the US economy to its knees, I think they have this new way to spend their money but make a huge profit- just keep buying up the oil futures contracts to who knows what level? I do hope my theory is wrong!

Seems amazing that the many good responses did not mention one company that is producing a lower-cost alternate to diesel, Sasol (SSL). I think they call it a gassification process for coal. So essentially you get a liquid fuel with lower cost to replace diesel. This would definitely have been better than the ethanol idiocy.
With nothing going but the blame-game and a lot of way out there tooth-fairy hopes for greening, what is wrong with this alternative?

I found this stock through Barron's Marketgrader system which provides very informed comparative analysis. They rate this the top company in Integrated Telecommunications Services with an overall rating under their system of 82.3. The next two companies in their ratings are VIP (78.8) and TMX (77.7). Sometimes their higher ratings mean nothing to the stock price because the fundies do not necessarily get people to know about or like the stock. But this one might have legs. Go for it!
