    I suppose in 15 or 20 years, China could have a competitor to Boeing and Airbus, so for them it is an issue. Airbus has been a total waste of money for the Europeans though. This will be a very inefficient allocation of resources, but it will create lots of jobs, which is what the Chinese government wants. China is misdirecting it's very valuable capital because looking at their bad loans the reserves aren't large at all.
    Anyone who is worried about China's economy overtaking the West can breathe a sigh of relief. The command economy is alive and well.
