    It's anecdotal, but when I asked my friend, who owns a car, what he thought of BYD, he said their cars look like **censored**.

    Americans and Europeans don't buy cars for statistics, and neither do the nouveau riche of China. Not to say BYD can't be successful, but if their electric cars have bad style, it won't be long before another car maker offers electricity and style. Don't forget that China's government has mandated a switch to electric cars as well. They have a lead now, but not for long.
