Wind Turbine Energy: How It Works and Stocks to Watch [View article]
We need to grow many forms of energy, existing and new. But, the single best bet for the long term is Algae. Algae-sourced fuel can be created literally thousands of times more efficiently than corn-based ethanol. Algae consume carbon dioxide while growing, and can be converted into virtually any type of fuel (depending upon species).
Algae can be grown year-round, providing a stable source of energy, unlike wind and solar. Lastly, it is more land-efficient than either wind or solar, based upon prototype plants created by a handful of startup algae farm companies.

Harry Reid would rather build an $8 billion train from Disneyland to Vegas than solve the nation's energy problems. Pelosis - I don't know what she's about, but it certainly isn't solving the nation's real problems. I think Obama may get it - somewhat - but he has little to work with in Congress with these two losers. These are not partisan comments, as the previous Administration did little to help the problem either.
You are 100% right about missed opportunities. I cannot help but feel to my core that this country's best days are behind it. Jim Rogers agrees and is shorting much of this country.
As Russia Tests the Waters, Oil and Gas Showdown Looms [View article]
I think we are going to have some really ugly times in the years ahead around energy shortages and our ever-growing foreign debt. There are answers to the problem, but our government doesn’t even know how to ask the questions. Do some of the morons in Congress really think we can import all of our needs forever or run 100 million cars on wind and solar? The development of alternative energy is critical, but nothing is going to replace oil in the next 10 years.
The most promising thing on the distant horizon – in my opinion – is algae. It is 1000 times more efficient for producing fuel than ethanol, and it does not compete with a food source. Take a look at some of the amazing things being done by Valcent-dot-net with Algae. I think there is some real hope here.
