Beware Short and Ultrashort ETFs

Some ultrashort funds are bang on - inverse of the market. But DUG sucks. I lost money in this ETF at a time when I should have been printing money. They obviously do not know how to run a short fund.

Forget $100 a Barrel - Oil Will Plummet to $30

Wrong. I sold all of my oil stocks very near the top. But I will be buying back waaaaaay before $30 a barrel. None - repeat NONE - of the alternative sources are competitive against $30 oil. It just ain't going there.

Why I'm Not Buying Oil's Recent 'Correction'

I agree. I sold all my energy stocks in mid-June (ALL lower now). I will buy back at some point, but we are not there yet. The only risk to my plan is the Middle East, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid - all enemies of the state.
