Don't forget the U.S gov't ! ... because, why should insurance companies be responsible for covering people's losses?
It will always go back to the U.S. government.
The counterparty risk in the financial system is simply too large to let ANY decent-sized institution fail. They don't even have to be huge.
Higher prices because of this. Higher prices = higher profits!!
