  • Is Deflation Coming To America? [View article]
Perhaps the whole system is structurally unsound being based on debt. If we the people issued government money and spent it into existence thru infrastructure projects as suggested by Ellen Brown in her "Web of Debt", then you could stimulate easily with productive projects. Workers would get the money 1st instead of banks. The Powers That Be - kill to protect their money business, so it would take a total breakdown to change the system. But when it does fail, we should be careful not to jump out of the frying pan and into the fire.

  • 7 Signs China's Economy Is Headed For Collapse [View article]
And they have a few trillion in surpluses to cover bad debts. The problem with our system is when the economy is good, everyone wants more of the pie and the politicians are happy to oblige in exchange for a vote. So we run huge deficits in good times when we should be storing up for bad times.

I do applaud China for at least attempting to stop population growth. You don't double one billion people too many times before everyone starves.

  • Why Is The U.S. Dollar's Value Collapsing All Of A Sudden? [View article]
I like Don Kaufman's logic: You many think you know whats going to happen but you really don't know. No one does, so you have to be hedged in both directions. A lot of heavy hitters got hurt bad by betting the farm on a continued real estate boom, but you always have to be hedged for that unlikely Black Swan event because they eventually will happen. You can't make as much money that way, but you won't loose it all either. I personally suspect the petrodollar is doomed, but I might not be seeing everything behind the scenes? Should I put everything into gold? What if the Grey Aliens have given the Illuminati the technology to manufacture gold out of lead??? Yah that's right - I think about thinks like that.

  • U.S. Unemployment Rate Falls To 5 Year Low Of 6.7% In December But Job Growth Lags [View article]
Disability seem to be the new unemployment compensation. It seems anyone can get on it. If you did some checking you would see that is where people falling off the roles are landing.

I believe anyone on government assistance should not be having children.

  • Ron Paul Has It Totally Backwards, Gold Isn't Going To Explode Higher [View article]
With a gold standard, when the economy booms and money is borrowed for enterprise, it soon becomes scarce since it's not elastic. It then becomes more valuable. Why risk lending money/gold when it is gaining value anyway? The boom runs out of liquidity and chokes on it's self. We saw that time and time again in the 1800's. I would prefer a national bank with elastic currency.

  • Shale Boom Is Real Enough [View article]
The reverberations from the 10 million dollars spent on just one oil /gas well here in the US, goes quite a ways. The money spent on the casing, the drilling bentonite, the rough necks, the truckers, the land owner, etc etc. Like fractional reserve banking there is a multiplier effect as the money gets spread out and exchanged further and further away from the well. Land lords, waitresses, car salesmen, carpenters, shop owners, etc etc all getting in on that exchange, that started at the drill site. Prominent economists can't see this? Now why does that not surprise me.

  • Natural Gas 80% Cheaper Than Oil, Can Save Commercial Truck Fleets A Bundle [View article]
I had a water well drilling rig that had a propane deck engine that operated the rig. The oil never got dirty. I only changed it out of habit, but when I did it looked the same as the day it was added. Engines that run on natural gas or propane will have much longer life spans. It's a shame the present Administration has thrown hundreds of millions on failed solar boondoggles, and not a cent to help create a national natural gas fueling system. They must live in La La Land.

  • Stay Long Stocks [View article]
We have a massive stimulus that is starting to lift the economy. And it is real stimulus, not borrowed money.. Every oil or gas well drilled in North Dakota, Montana, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas etc etc adds 4-12 million dollars to the US economy, not to mention the royalties paid to land owners. Although the states being drilled in, see the first benefits, that money eventually circulates throughout the whole nation. Money that would have gone to the middle east is now being spent here. And the good news is that it's only getting started.
