Right on, Andrew and captbob. Tell it like it is. The bloodsucking credit card companies prey upon everyone, especially those who can least afford their fine-print penalties, etc. They deserve baseball-bat losses. Couldn't happen to better loansharks! Bankruptcy is too good for them.
The thing that is really troubling about the international oil market is that any wild Iranian or corrupt Israeli official can make an off-the-wall statement about going to war and oil prices go wild. This is unprecedented power over the markets by irresponsible and unaccountable nitwits!
Stagflation is here. The question is, How do we get out of it? With Argentinian-type inflation or another Volker-type Federal Reserve? Or is it that simple?
