In the past, the value of gold/silver has always produced better returns than holding junior mining stock. In the light that gold/silver pays no dividends, is it going to be the same in the future? My gut feeling is that there is going to be a reversal to this status quo as mining shares; especially those with major reserves, albeit in the ground; now have the invested structure to outperform expectations.

If we are looking at a seven year revamp period for ESKOM in a country with extensive untapped resources, I feel that the final remark by 'schminkie' may be the route that the SA government will be forced to go. I personally would not invest in this area, as risk outweighs any possible high return.
