      Does anyone seriously think Obama will be easier on the wallet in terms of taxes? He's already talking about raping the oil companies - as if that's going to help put gas in my tank.

      I don't see him as any kind of improvement. I'm voting for McCain, if only out of damage control mode.

      Wrong - Social security has never been balanced. It only worked when we had few retirees. And Clinton never had an actual surplus - that was an accounting scam called Rubinomics. There hasn't been an actual surplus in the country in well over a hundred years. The national debt doubled under Clinton - then tripled under Bush.

      The Credit Card Time Bomb Is Ticking
      In spite of all this, Visa and MA make their money of transactions, as the previous poster mentioned. Therefore, can we really expect either of their stocks to decrease in value significantly? People will just jump from one cc to another, then to a bank card (which is usually linked to Mastercard or Visa) and so forth. I don't see the extreme downside to owning Visa or Mastercard stocks right now.
