With Plenty Of Cash, Hydrogenics Is A Buy [View article]
I had a limit this morning of 8.10 (prior to open) and was allocated at 7.75... maybe leftover scraps from that 1 buyer. Wish i had bought more though.
I have a small position in the company as well and hope to get one in a few years. Just curious, does anyone knows how the battery handles in areas with heavy rain. I am assuming the battery will not get soaked. Please she'd some light if you already have one or knows anything about this. Thanks
Why Tesla Has It Right And GM, Ford And Nissan Have It Wrong [View article]
Hey guys... Fcev may be new concept but its all over in 3rd world countries ( ie Thailand). You can fill up with LPG or ngv as there are stations throughout. Most of the vehicles have aftermarket kits installed and take up truck space to be able to use these fuels. This is due to the lower cost than petrol. Technically what you have is existing ice vehicle with dual capabilities. No hydrogen stations though. Such technology do not exist in the US because there is no demand for it and also because no one wanted to sacrifice engine power.
IMO I think ev technology are revolutionary and it will take time for people to understand it. Combustion engines are already push to its limit and contains too many parts. Either the leadership will come from the Us or another country, the changes will occur.

I think once tesla hits the 4000 production target at end of year and start opening their showrooms around the country, people will start to realize the technology. Its hard for some people to accept that cars can operate without an engine hood since that is all one sees today. There is however concerns regarding sourcing of lithium and resources needed for the batteries. At a greater capacity and if manufacturers begin to adopt this technology mainstream, is supply adequate to meet demands since lithium is already highly used today.

The company, which will use the symbol SCTY, generated 1H revenue of $71.4M (+252% Y/Y), and a net loss of $48.9M. SolarCity installs residential and commercial solar systems in the U.S. for little or no up-front cost, and then sells the electricity generated by them via long-term leases. Shares of Tesla Motors (TSLA +2.3%) trade higher with news that Toyota is de-emphasizing its pure electric vehicle program making for an interesting backdrop. Tesla isn't shy about stating its own conviction on the EV market and is in the midst of setting up retail stores across the U.S. At the moment it has the auto industry press on its side as more extensive reviews of the Model S come out with Wired's 4-day test drive concluding the vehicle's large battery and charging potential should keep "range anxiety" in check. So this would help them to establish the basis for mass market prod once they are ready to take it at that level. Same thing this is positive as they are receiving revenues while promoting ev technology.

Agreed with last comment. However, what are the details behind those licensing terms. Are they offering operation and design support or use of their existing technologies. .. ie. is Rav4 drive train smaller version of the S?
