Anyhow, it was only at 3:30 in the morning that I and my partner got our iPhones! And we're so happy we did. Not out of the hype but of using it!

It is the start of a new computing paradigm, as important as the graphical user interface and mouse in the original PC - a Mac! - was.

But important as it may be - and it is! - this is NOT the most relevant news. The most relevant news have been heard by everybody already but, somehow, it hasn't sink in to fully understanding its reach.

Apple is expanding internationally big time using the iPhone as a Trojan horse and viral marketing tool. Given the cultural and economic differences, the developing countries are the ones that'll show more interest for these handheld computers and will buy them in droves. Apple products will be talked about and bought all over the world. I say Apple products and not just iPhones because it is widely known that it doesn't take long for people to buy Macs and dive into the Apple ecosystem once they get their hands onto an iPhone.

So, in sum:
- Apple is launching a whole new handheld computing platform that will change the world as we know it;
- Apple is expanding internationally, making for quantum leaps in growth from iPhone and Macs sales.

This translates that, in one year's time, Apple will have doubled its size in revenue/profit and, likewise, AAPL will have doubled to ~400 or higher since stock prices translate forward looking potentiality and people will then have no doubt it is growth growth growth to never before seen heights.

I fully agree with you. And if you are right in what you're implying, then we won't see much of a climb next week.

It's a bit obvious that the stock has been played with and that there are a lot of enemies to the company, enemies with a lot of cash, enemies with a lot of influence.

High or low stock price, I don't think they can stop Apple to make this a new computing revolution, this new handheld computing platform that they are launching next week is even more important to the world as the 1st one with the Macintosh with graphical user interface and mouse, later copied into windows by Microsoft, was.

Even if AAPL won't climb up much due to lateral tactics or simply an absence of understanding of Apple overall move, it will innevitably be impacted with the revenue coming from the sales on the 700 million to 1.1 billion subscriber market that the iPhone is now going to be sold on.

The market and its analysts haven't also realized that the iPhone expanding to so many countries directly reverts to Apple Inc. with its Macs and ecosystem expanding into those same areas, many of which it didn't sell anything at all or was all but unknown.

Why would Apple stick with Infineon when they were late to the low power 3G chip market? In December/January (am I wrong?) Steve was talking about 3G being power hungry and in Feb 11 both Broadcom and NVIDIA were showing off prototypes of their wares at the Barcelona Mobile World Conference. People who buy iPhones, soon are buying Macs, that's why the Mac is growing @+50% yoy comparing to industry 17%. Now, Apple will sell all around the world, in places where it never sold significantly!
The iPhone subscriber market was 140 million, it's now at 700 million and there's still China & Russia to be added, the countries where most of the unlocked iPhones went to.

This is not just another run-off-the-mill event for Apple, it is as important as the start of the computer revolution was with the 1st Macintosh with the 1st GUI and mouse!

He who doesn't see that Apple is shooting to never before seen sky high prices, surpassing Google in market cap, when the market realises what's really going on at Apple is losing money big time.

- For every iPhone sale, soon there comes a Mac sale, maybe in the form of a MacBook followed by an iMac, then an Apple TV, Airport Extremme, Airport Expresses, etc. That is called the Apple Ecosystem.

It is adictive! And Viral! It actually uses the principles of something called Viral Marketing. Because the person who buys an iPhone and enters Apple's ecosystem soon gets their friends and family all contagious too!

So Apple will increase its Mac sales dramatically on account of all the iPhone sales. Apple will cease to be a niche market company AND a US centric company as it has always been and will instantly become a global contender.

This is a global assault! Some say it is Apple's try at global domination. That is so funny. But if you realise that it is the CEOs of Orange, Telefonica, Telecom Italia etc. that are flying to Apple's Cupertino headquarters to convince Jobs to give them the iPhone and that the device has been 'smuggled' out of the country to almost every corner of the world, then you'll realise that it's almost a Gold Rush all over again.

One can already see that in terms of cellphone subscriber base, right now it's almost quadrupled. And the China deal is announced around the Olympic Games - time when Apple opens its Apple Store in high-life retail block in Beijing - then you'll understand how big Apple will get in terms of iPhones and Macs.

I really don't see any difficulty of Apple becoming Apple x2 or x3 in the very short term.

And I just bet Jobs has got something up his sleeve for WWDC that will revolutionize things even more - and it's not the 3G iPhone!
