Microsoft’s Shopping List

Microsoft would be stupid to buy a property website in the US because they all lose copious amounts of money. They should look at markets overseas where big profits are made from connecting realtors to buyers. Rightmove (UK), ImmobilenScout24 (Germany), SeLoger (France) and REA Group (Australia) all make 30-40% profit margins and have - collectively - created billions in new wealth for their owners. Why should Microsoft back companies that only lose money ? Backing winners would seem a more sensible course.
