For clarities sake HPGP has not been in the $1.60 range since May 29th. A buy-out at $2.40 has been announced by the the stockholder who owns a controlling interest and although other stockholders are disaapointed with the price the deal will most likely go throught and close by Sep-30 providing a 3.90% return, at the current $2.31 price, and an annualized return of 14.36%.

Image Entertainment Takes Profit on Latest Buyout Collapse

I am surprised that you could publish this article without even a mention of the ongoing failures to close the sale of Image. The buyer has been in breach of contract several times in just the last couple of weeks. However, Image continues to grant extentions. It appears that Image has a fear of delisting and is using this less than solid deal to artificially inflate the stock price. Does any of this concern you as an owner of Image stock?

What's Driving Precision Drilling Trust Into the Ground?

The key question here is why didn't you buy Grey Wolf stock? Since i was already under water on PDS I purchased enough GW stock on Dec 4 & 5 so that when the deal closed not only would I own all of my new and old shares of PDS at an average cost of $3.28 but I could anticipate a 17% plus annual dividend based on that new cost. However, when PDS on Dec 11th said it would most likely cut or temporarily suspend its dividend in 2009 I hit the doors and sold both PDS and GW. Who wants to go forward with that type of uncertainty. Luckily the increase in the value of GW gave me a nice profit overall on this quick turn around. The question still remains "why wouldn't you buy GW if you wanty to own PDS?"
