The Short Case on Genomic Health

AviaraDx has a proliferation index test, MGI, that duplicates the more complex Genomic Grade Index (GGI) with only 5 genes. Oncotype Dx is entirely powered by their 5 gene proliferation signature as part of the 21 gene assay - read the NSABP 20 study and it is black and white, the proliferation assay is a powerful as the entire assay together. AviaraDx also has a two gene test for endocrine resistance - take a look at the May 1st,2008 Clinical Cancer Research for the article by Ma et al to see how these two markers play out. Genomic Health is about to get a wake up call.
