  • eBay Showing Sellers the Door? [View article]
fellowex, there are plenty of eBay buyers who have simply no vested interest in completing the transaction. Such as the guy who has only one positive rating and won't pay for a auction win because I won't let him pick up his item. The listing clearly stated no pick ups. He doesn't participate much or if at all. He doesn't care if his feedback rating is bad or low. He could just open a new account.

Or the other 'lady' (and I do use that term very loosely), who couldn't come up with the money and declined to pay. Then she pays much later after I had left for vacation. She has the nerve to leave me negative feedback. Again, an eBay member who has a low positive feedback number and doesn't care about her feedback.

Yes, as a seller, I do have recourse. But I just wasted a lot of time listing, going through the motions to get my final fees back from eBay. And if I am selling tickets, time is ticking. Everyday wasted is a day closer to these tickets becoming worthless. I couldn't sell those tickets to the second bidder listed above and I lost $400 in cost of the tickets and my potential profit.

It is these small eBay members who don't care about the rules, do whatever they want, don't read the listings, and want to make up their own rules as they go- they are ruining the eBay experience.

eBay simply doesn't care about the sellers in an effort to attract more bum buyers.
