  • The Buckle: Flying Under the Mall Radar [View article]
The buckle is providing great service with a great product mix. I think what holds this company back is it's lack of advertising and while this cuts down on costs it really hinders their growth.

Foreign currency is definitely a concern with this one. I will have to see what happens to the US dollar when it comes to this stock.

  • Wednesday Outlook: Commodities, Emerging Markets [View article]
I am a little surprised at how well the commodities traded index has been operating. Is there a promising future outlook for commodities especially now?

You are right, commodities is the way to go right now. Gold has always proven to do well when there are high inflationary periods and it seems like the other commodities seem to be faring well in the poor economy.

  • OPEC's Move to Devalue the Euro [View article]
I think this is very true, however I don't don't think that the US increase of 200,000 barrels a day will really help stimulate less import of foreign oil. It might be good in the short run, but in the long run it will drive oil prices back up as we become more and more dependent on oil again.

  • Sony May Catch Up to Nintendo's Playability with Rumored Controller [View article]
Good luck entering the market! This is going to be a flop if they don't provide the right advertising and hype. Sony also has a disadvantage because of price. The PS3 is more than the wii making the wii more attractive to potential buyers and their market, college aged and younger kids.

Looks like there is incentive to buy. Japan has an OK market right now, but I was wondering if VSEA is going to produce some positive numbers as the japanese economy begins to drop.

I think that he is right about the "old tech" devices. AAPL is going to come out with the iphone which will really help boost their revenue. It will also be marketed toward the masses instead of the techy and the rich. Great time to buy

  • Real Prices for New Cars Keep Going Down [View article]
This just shows how gas has affected the price of goods. As the overall price of oil rises companies aren't able to sell their larger vehicles like they once were able to.

  • Intense Inflation Pressure: Fed, Bank of England Have Their Hands Tied [View article]
This has been a problem for a while. While inflation is increasing we are seeing a recession and it is killing the dollar as we fight the inflation rather than the recession.

I think in the global scheme of things we need to look at the inflationary problem which continues to consume the American dollar.

The death of the american dollar does have one positive. It will now be better for businesses who sell goods overseas and operate in the US. Their goods look cheaper to Overseas companies with a currency that has better value, especially the euro and pound.

  • Want Lower Gas Prices? OK, Let's Increase Supply [View article]
I am intrigued by this notion and I understand your intentions of opening up oil wells to increase supply and drive prices back down. This however, won't fix our long term problems. This supply shock could trigger a great change in the way that we consume natural resources and it also spurs innovation. This supply problem that we are having may be a wake up call that we need to stop depending on oil from cartel nations and focus on other forms of energy.
