The FAA's decision to issue the MLG UPN was ill-advised and likely based upon the opinion of inexperienced (or overzealous) inspectors, or perhaps a need to justify the years of effort invested in a dead-end investigation. Experienced aircraft maintainers with comprehensive systems (and industry) knowledge know that this UPN was all hype. The parts in question are safe and meet the specifications set forth by the manufacturer... Period. AAR's procedures were within industry standards and could in no way cause any defects or deficiencies in said MLG assemblies. Clearly, the market has overreacted and created a very nice buying opportunity for those investors looking for a great value-growth play.
