Interesting to read the sprinkling of different tidbits.
I want to heartily encourage recording numbers from gift cards.
I sell them as a fund raiser for our church, and have come to realize that people are far more careless with a $100 gift card than then are with a $100 bill. They are good about replacing if the missing card is not used (these are grocery stores). I keep track of the numbers on the cards we sell.

Re SYK - they are down less than most other stocks in past months.
I wonder if there is pressure that they will have to lower prices because of health care expense concerns, no matter who wins the election.
