This is so sad because it was so avoidable. Businesses,investors and government love fractional reserve banking because of its ability to create money from nothing. But this loots the middle class and the poor via inflation and the boom bust cycle.

If you say this is necessary for progress then ask yourself this question: Were the Roaring 20's so good that they were worth The Great Depression, The New Deal, and World War II?
