    How about this for stability: a stable money supply? No inflation, no deflation and a 100% reserve requirement for banks.

    Wait, I have a better idea. Go to the Bureau of Standards and have them adjust weights and measures every year so we can have permanent economic growth without the need for real growth. We can make the pound weigh less, the gallon hold less, the ruler shorter so we can all be over 6'. Oh, we would need a masculine and feminine pound so the ladies could weigh less. The possibilities are endless.
