Retired CIA Physical Scientist and manager. 70 years of life experience. At this point in our economic history I conclude that the national and global economy is a house of cards and that we are in for a few more months/years of "smoke and mirrors" and kicking the can down the road before the whole thing collapses. My immediate concern is finding a storehouse of wealth. Silver and Gold concern me for a variety of reasons including the possibility that the federal govt. might decide to mandate a "fair" price for precious metals and confiscate them. Gold will be the first to go. More recently, my thinking turned to farm land and long-term storable commodities as a storehouse of value. So I bought an Amish farm (off the grid) as a retreat and investment.
