  • What Are Your Dividend Investment Goals? [View article]
Just buy Phillip Morris, and forget about it for a couple of decades. I backed up the truck at 33. As a world traveler I can tell you their business is booming.
If you hate the business they're in buy Exxon, Coke or Pepsi or McDonalds. MCD has compounded at 15% for over 30 years.
    good luck

  • The 10 Best U.S. Dividend Stocks [View article]
Good list but cant believe PM was left off. I cant think of a stock with better dividend growth prospects IMO. If anyone can I'd love to hear it.
I've spent a lot of time in Europe and SE Asia and their brands are the hot sellers and growers. Add in huge margins and management who is dedicated to returning $ to shareholders and you have a winner.
thanks for article and good list

  • My Favorite Dividend Paying Stocks  [View article]
Good call on PM, it's growing overseas and already 2 dividend increases since being spun of from MO. However your mention of increased money supply leading to inflation is not the case if the money is being hoarded as it is now. For inflation to take hold it would have to be chasing a fixed basket of goods/services.
    Just my 2 cents

So substitute water for coffee, Pepsi, juice, Gatorade, or whatever. His point is gas is cheap (in America at least). For about 17 cents a cup you can power a motorized vehicle for 6-9 miles. That's a good deal anyway you slice it. Try hiring someone to take you that distance in a horse and buggy or bicycle for 17 cents.

  • Cramer's Mad Money - 10 Signs of Hope (3/3/09) [View article]
He's the luckiest guy in the world he got into investing in the early 80s just as the great leveraging began. Any fool could have made money riding the performance enhanced Dow from 875 to 14k...the fools who made the most money are those who took the most risk. They are the same ones who are in denial now as we de-leverage. Use any rallies to lighten your position. We have further to go to the downside.
