    GM is NUTS. Two negatives do not make a positive in commerce. Who is running the chicken coop? GM should be split and each entity exists on it's own. No cross guarantees. Has anyone ever studied economics?

    Remember, what we are talking about is buying mortgages at a discount. A likely scenario is that the taxpayer loses little in the long run. When a crisis happens you do not do "Nothing" You jump in and fix the problem.

    Government action has tremendous impact on business. If they give the auto companies 25 billion dollars, auto stocks will move big time. Get in early because, short of the government running out of money they will fund the auto's to the tune of 25 billion. The auto companies lowered their request from 50 to 25 billion. How can he government pass up "Such a deal"
