  • Dividends or No Dividends, That Is the Question [View article]
    Dividend paying is good for a couple of reasons. It does take money out of management hands. Many companies when they are making money get into too many projects that are out of their expertice and the shareholders suffer, while management plays. Innovation is not playing. If actual budgets are limited due to cash flowing to shareholders mangaement might set better priorities.
    Look at Microsoft. Nobody has any idea how much money was lost due to their venture into games. Wow. it was a fortune. Because they have so much money sitting around it is easy to squander on playing. . If their had been a meaningful dividend, better priorites with timelines would have been established. Oh well who is listening?
