Seriously, this is griping for the sake of griping. If Apple didn't approve each app who knows what type of trojan horse apps there would be out there stealing people's data...
Apple: Weaker Dollar Will Benefit Revenue Growth and Margins [View article]
the falling dollar obviously helps all multinational companies which in turn should help the SP 500. ASP for Apple products overseas are much higher than they are here in the US. Also, Apple products tend to be higher priced than those PC lines....90% of computers that cost more than a thousand dollars are sold by Apple...so its not really a question of more sales, its more a question of higher ASP

Streaming additional content over itunes like netflix????
The Case for Moving iTunes to the Cloud [View article]
I agree with you completely. I have a lot of shows and movies on my computer but had to buy an external 500G to accomodate what I have. I have like 200 G of video content on itunes. I like to take different shows and movies with me on my iphone. I also subscribe to netflix so if past seasons of my favorite show are available to view on my xbox such as the two you've mentioned, i dont bother with it on itunes. If Apple can make Apple TV prominent, I would like to see a catalog of certain shows and movies like Netflix available through streaming content for a subscription fee of say $9.99 a month.
Apple Is Still a Great Investment, Right? Not for Value Investors [View article]
if you didnt get into aapl while it was hovering around 78 or any other low number you have to be kicking yourself so as a value investor would feel like they missed the boat so i can understand the author's point. with that being said, not everyone's views are the same, i see aapl up $100 from today by 4Q 2009
Apple Reportedly Selling 5 Million iPhones to China Unicom [View article]
I agree i'm long apple not for their china growth but happen to be long china digital tv (STV) bc i expect the chinese middle class to grow rapidly without a huge increase in overrall spending habits for the middle class as a whole. Responsible spending with a great savings base.

this was a long awaited move, a lot of people have been calling for this so not surprising, at the end of the day google can't compete with apple when it comes to mobile phones and os. they're trying to diversify their business and apple was cool with it bc it didnt see them as a competitor but maybe now they do so maybe google is making inroads but i dont see it...
Why Apple's iTouch Tablet Will Become Its Flagship Product [View article]
Great article, i think you connect the dots pretty well which makes it very plausible that apple will come out with a tablet.
The classic ipod was being phased out as it is with people flocking to the itouch. This is evident in the sales figure.
With the iphone revenues being recognized over a 8 quarter period and with a $99 entry point, assuming the tablet comes in Q4, the stock looks poised for a massive run-up in 2010. And Apple TV hasn't even caught on like it should yet.
