Partnering with Dell or HP to sell their computers will certainly offset part of the costs associated with this effort.

Whether you're short or long events WILL happen in the foreseeable future that will increase volatility and value perception in this stock specifically:

Sales Tax issue (probably lose that fight which will be a huge negative)
Borders Bankruptcy (Huge positive)
Free Shipping (will need to eventually raise the minimum from $25)
Partnership with Netflix

This stock always seems a 'trade' to me whether short or long (I've been both).
