Stockbroker and then buy-side analyst for 15 years. Founded and sold three successful Internet companies that operate profitably today. First to coin the term "search engine optimization" (SEO).
Swing trader of mostly small caps for 12 years. I'm only comfortable when fundamentals, short-term and intermediate technicals line up and I trade fluctuations around value using simple technicals for entries and exits: short and intermediate term EMAs using Fibonnacci numbers, EMA envelopes, MACD and volume.
I'm patient and wait for what I call "main events". I usually have only one large open position with a time horizon of two days to two months. Winning percentage is pretty good but edge
is gained with strict and disciplined money management and emotional control (still takes an effort to control those ancient "fight or flee" drumbeats). Still use hard stops - maybe soft stops in another 12 years. Always confident, always humble. Always concerned a black swan may show up. Scared to death of the bots.
Wishing you the best success in your trading and investing pursuits.
