A good article on brk.a. As Dough Kass says Warren Buffet's style has drifted from straight investments to some exotic stuff.

IF sp500 falls 30% from here then it stands to reason that BRK.A would probably follow the downtrend, and vice versa!

  • Buffett Discusses Buying Back Berkshire Stock [Video] [View article]
Buffet should be buying Berkshire stock since it is "low". By all means follow through with Warren's belief that cash is trash.

Let's hope Warren will again be richly rewarded as he has been throughout his working life using the belief cash is trash. However this strategy is not for the average Joe since survival comes first.

  • The Sears Mistake [View article]

Lampert learnt one step less than the master Buffett; that is never buy your own share like Buffet never buy Berkshire preferring to hold cash. Interestingly Buffett says "cash is a terrible long term investment" but Berkshire holds ever larger amounts of cold CASH!

  • Berkshire Valuation Questionable as Business Fails Guidance Tests [View article]
Excellent article, the spirit of enquiry is alive and well. Rakesh is not daunted by the investment giant Warren Buffet who in effect says he can do no wrong. Warren may not be wrong, but some probing is in order by people like Rakesh who refuse to take things at face value.

  • What If Warren Buffett Is Wrong About the Markets? [View article]
Yes Warren Buffet can be wrong. Agree with sober conclusion of article that the American dream is probably gone, including easy money from ever rising stocks and assets. For most it will be about survival never mind dreams.

  • A Bailout for Berkshire? [View article]
Excellent article. Now people know that there IS a possible personal motive for Warren Buffet to write the NY article saying "cash is trash, pour into stocks!" Many people are scratching their heads when Warren writes like this because as far as I can make out he has never advertised like this when he moves heavily into shares. Of course Warren may just be expressing his deep beliefs but this insightful article throws some light on other POSSIBLE other motives.
