  • iTunes TV Subscriptions: Could it Happen? [View article]
This is similar to the Blockbuster/Redbox situation. I can pay four dollars a movie at blockbuster or rent from a Redbox Kiosk for one dollar. Just who is winning market share and who is closing brick and motar stores. Apple is Blockbuster in this analogy, I don't know who will be the next "Redbox".

  • Why I Prefer McDonald's over Apple [View article]
You forgot to mention that Apple (AAPL) doesn't pay a dividend at all. My take is every company should pay a dividend. If it doesn't, that just means Management is only concerned about their own stock options.

  • Apple Dropped the Ball on an NFL Deal [View article]
C'mon be real. With the economy in the toilet, people have money to spend on pay per view football? Professional sports has become a joke in relation to cost for the spectator. I quit watching baseball when they went on strike and never looked back.

  • A Sudden Appetite for Web Based Computers [View article]
Sydney: You mention Microsoft as benefiting from Netbook Computers. This is not true. Microsoft software is a resources hog, especially in memory but also requiring 4-8GB hard drive space or more just for the operating system. Most of the netbooks use solid state hard drives and microsoft operating systems burp and choke on them. The real winner in the netbook arena is Linux Software and especially Ubuntu (free software package that includes Open Office). These Linux software packages can run very well on as little as 512mb memory and a 4gb solid state(ssd) drive. The low overhead and free software make a perfect marriage for netbooks.

  • Who Will Take GM's Place in the Dow? [View article]
What is your rationale for "investors would agree". It has to be an industrial stock. Who is better than GM in that regard? If you take it out you are not really measuring the economy. Apple is not a manufacturer but an integrator.
