Expect nothing to come of this. It will be looked at with a blind eye just like the bankruptcy court looked at the case of the GM stockholders and Chrysler Stockholders. By the way, whatever happened to the IPO and issuance of new stock so the original stockholders will get their "fair" share?
Somebody can correct me if I am wrong, but once Ginsburg issued her ruling in effect allowing the case to move forward (by taking any action on the matter ie. granting stay) it is now under the control/influence of Chief Justice John Roberts. He can over rule any of the other justices and indicate that the case can be heard by the court. This moves it from the liberal bent of Ginsburg, tossing it aside to prevent Obama embarrassment, to the much more conservative thinker Roberts.

Hey, How come we aren't hearing anything from Felix Salmon. Felix aren't you going to weigh in with the socialist viewpoint? You did write "The GM Bondholders' 'Legal Rights' Meme" on June 1st.

Now hearing chatter the camp Obama is hoping that Judge Gonzalez can wrap up the Chrysler bankruptcy so they can give him the GM bankruptcy, claiming this makes perfect sense since its the same industry and he is now an expert. (bypass whatever normal rotation of Judges that applies) If that happens expect GM bondholders to get royally screwed also.
I think the key point is that Chrysler can show that they have done "something" in regards to restructuring so they can keep getting the government funds.
