A thought provoking article that is forward looking in its rationale. The problem is that many investors do not have recovery time on their side and must decide to leave the future gain to their children or , if necessity for income is required now, they must place their resources in current return financial instruments such as CD's or high dividend paying securities. Compound the problem with the sharply declined appraisal value of our homes and senior citizens are facing a financial dilemma as to what they should do, so it is my opinion that the vast majority are hunkered down and and are very cautious on discretionary spending and very prudent on necessity spending as well.
