    Consumer spending is 70% of the US economy. Until we put disposable incomeback into the general public housholds, there will be a recssion.
    P.S. temporary tax rebate is jst a band aid. As for investing, the place to be is in the necessities. When I get my rebate, I may buy a WII.

    There are two huge energy sources we are basically ignoring.
    Trash (garbage) and coal. Yes! coal can be used 100% clean.
    Take a look at Headwaters, Calpine, ze-gen, startech, pcg syngas, waste management, plasco, stericycle, u-gas tech, and many more who are receiving NO help. Instead we are going to get, (SUPERGEN), which is already way behind schedule and way over budget without even breaking ground.

    Why? When discretionary income is absorbed by rising costs, ie-food and energy, the service industry, The one that replaced middle class jobs, suffers. Its happening and will continue until cooler heads prevail.

    Crisis! We are there but just don't know it yet. Millions of living wage jobs gone, but their mortgages are still here. Can't pay on minimum wage saleries. Even if they work at two jobs. By the way, If their unemployment has run out, they are no longer listed as unemployed.

    There is only one way to repair the US economy. PUT the american middle class back to work! When I retired, 1998, we could save $1000 per month. Today we run $500 negative. And we are some of the lucky ones.
