Really, Really Bad News About Oil

Other sources of energy will complement oil; nothing will replace it, ever. There are products of crude oil we simply can't replace and most people won't do without. Want to eat? Farming is energy intensive. Want to buy food? Its shipped by truck from farm to markets. Want to travel? Oil is the only realistic fuel for aircraft. Want to protect yourself? Oil (products) are required to run trucks, planes, helos, ships, tanks, etc. If nothing else, US demand grows with our population; we can slow the growth in absolute terms but won't eliminate it.
