    Your article has me confused. Share repurchases should increase EPS not decrease it. But I agree that the best course of action for Apple would be to increase the dividend. Frankly, I think Apple should double it.

    The stock market is pure noise most of the time. If the stock markets were to close tomorrow and not reopen until 5 years later, I would be very comfortable owning Apple for that time frame.

    Price to book is an irrelevant metric for Apple because manufacturing is outsourced. If Apple owned factories price to book might be relevant.

    Results speak for themselves. If Google and Microsoft are so impressive in terms of R&D spending, where is the pudding? When was the last time you saw people stand in line to buy a Google or Microsoft product? Evolutionary improvements are every bit as important as game changing product introductions. Apple has a very nice three year outlook with a large screen TV likely in the works. The flaws in iOS 6 will be fixed and forgotten.
