Roche Covets Genentech for Good Reason

The premium Roche offered for the purchase of outstanding shares
was only 11%, not 44% as stated above. Further Roche's $89/share
offer was tendered when the market price of $80/share was regarded
by most DNA investors as well below Genentech's fair value.
Wall Street's response to Roche's offer was, "Does anyone take those
penny pinching Swiss seriously??"
