  • What the New Interest in Saskatchewan Oil Sands Means For Oilsands Quest [View article]
I'd be happy to see my BQI shares for $22.00 per share right now! Any takers? :)

My target when I purchased the shares was $20.00 - $25.00 and this of course cannot happen until they begin taking oil out their sands and begin selling it.

If the market remains over $40.00 per barrell it's profitable. At $75.00 it's downright big money. I think this is one of the better "speculative" investments and am proud to be on the upside so far and waiting for more in 3-5 years.

  • The House of Medicis - Cramer's Mad Money, (6/20/08) [View article]
Oilsands Quest. The amount of land has constantly been misquoted from Cramer on down. They do not have 500,000 acres leased but over 700,000. Then if you take Cramer's real estate play terms the stock should be (if they paid the same per $2.8 mil per acre as Ivanhoe recently paid) $24.00 per share and not $16.00. Then if you only value half of that (why only half?) the stock would be worth $12.00 not $8.00.

But real estate aside they have found oil on each test drill. Their Axle Lake Discovery is in hand. The amount will be independently announce sometime in July/August.

There is a very real possibility that they are sitting on way more than 10 billion barrells of oil equivlant. They will be exploring those 700,000 acres for more than any of our lifetimes. They are bringing in the equipment as we speak to begin and the town where this is happening has already voted "YES" to have them come in and do their thing.

Speculative? Yep. But where else are we going to find a potential $100-200 value, in the most sought after commodity on earth, for a mere $6-7 per share?

See what happened when OGX went public last week? 6 billion in market cap in one day and all they have is water rights. BQI has already found oil and is currently market capped at 1.4 billion. I like my chances.

  • Oilsands Quest: Looking to Breakout [View article]
I believe the recent bump to $5.40 is the result of OGX IPO getting 6 billions and all they got is rights to explore some waters off Brazil!

I'm looking forward to BQI being a 6 billion cap!

  • Oilsands Quest: Looking to Breakout [View article]
I'm in Long but I certainly wish I had gotten in at Waldipup's pricing!

If this company can't make investors happy with oil climbing then I guess it wasn't meant to be. Supposedly, with the current cost of removing oil from sand it makes sense to extract it after oil reaches $45 per barrell and great economic sense if oil goes even higher. What's the chance that oil goes back to $45 per barrell or anywhere near that in the next couple of years. Only if companies like Oilsands and the potential mega-giant PBR get their drilling going will oil come down. Of course, I stand amazed that our nation hasn't changed its stance and announced ANWR and other areas open for business NOW! Oh well ... BQI should breakout.

I understand that they're coming out with their independent analysis within 6 weeks. I suspect their first JV by years end. Stock will go to $5-6 on independent reports, $7-10 on JV announcement. Once they start showing that they can get it done (actually pump some oil out of those sands) then the stock should climb steadily thereafter.

I believe the cheapest you'll be able to get into this company is right now (with obvious 10% blips always possible.)

This, of course, is only MHO and as said earlier I am Long currently.
