Yeah. Go with the 17 strike. Because when the stock trades down to $10 (today) there is such a difference between the 16 and 17. ahahahah

Low of $21.03 today.... where are the bulls now? "It pays a dividend, why would you short it?" blah blah blah.. stop putting dividends on a pedestal like they make/break where the stock price goes. You can take your 4% yield and then realize a net less of 15% when the stock heads back to the teens. I agree his fundamental analysis is insufficient but nobody on here wants to go though a guys FCFE model in excel for 4 hours. It's a SA article, not the boardroom at GS guys.

Any chance you can explain this Seattle real estate purchase? What's the strategy? I might be out of the loop.

User 447425 : As for a play on the short/options. I wouldnt dive right in and play the short until the tape starts moving your way. Even if this article above is spot on, us non-institutional investors are going to have to wait for the monster mutual fund/ hedge fund / pensions to drop Amazon before anyone is going to make money on the downside. Like someone said above, this could be Nortel 2.0, where everything points to a disaster and the stock keeps climbing with management pointing to the share price as if that is in some way a sign of financial strength. This stock has a long way to go before the valuation makes any sense to be long, but the timing of your short is going to be the real balance here. Good luck. (my spelling sucks, I know)
