  • EOG Resources Is A Solid 'Buy' Candidate [View article]
Very nice well written article. According to their investor relations manager EOG controls over 9.1 million acres. This is probably a great company for your children and even grandchildren to own for the next 10 to 15 years. I feel this is one of the overlooked energy companys out there with a ton of potential for people with patience.

  • Cramer Picks 4 Oil Stocks For Growth [View article]
It seems to me that EOG is really very "pricey". Today it trades for over $116 a share which gives it a "forward 2013 PE" of 17.1. Which seems kinda "meteoric" for a nat gas/ oil company. Nat gas is at all time lows. Just doesn't make alot of sense to pay up for this company.

  • How To Make Excellent Returns From Stocks [View article]
Iam long KOG and don't mind telling you that I own several tons of it. I hope Iam right. I don't have access to Credit Suisse but I hope they are right about the EPS going to well over $2.00 in 2014. At a multiple of 12 which is very reasonable for a "growth story" like this one you would have a stock price of $24 by the end of 2014. Now thats something to get excited about!!!!! And thats why I bet the farm on this one!!!!!!!!

  • 5 Stocks To Buy Now And Forget About For 10 Years [View article]
I think all these stocks have had "their day in the sun" and I think at best the sun has set on them. Translation= there are lots of better ideas out there for "true growth" over the next 10 years or so. Once you get to a certain market cap you become "mature" and need to reinvent yourself if you hope to grow. I just don't see great "potential" in any of these names.

  • 8 Investment Grade Bonds Hot Off The Press [View article]
I have been an investment grade bond investor for well over 20 years and it will be a cold day in hell before I will tie up my hard earned money in long term paper with ridiculous yields like these bonds are offering. As an example, CSX offers a coupon of 4.40% and you can tie your money up for 31 years!!!!!!!!! I say are you crazy?????? That is a taxable bond so now your real take home might be a paltry 3% over those 31 years. But as old W. C. Fields use to say, "there's one born every day". A sucker that is!!!!!

I absolutely love EOG but the forward PE is astronomical.

  • 5 Oil & Gas Stocks With Low Payout Ratios To Consider Now [View article]
Iam long and I love KOG but after listening to their conference call last wed. I went away somewhat disenchanted. They missed badly as far as the EPS goes. The street was looking for .09 cents and they came in at .02 cents. Still the stock only went down about a buck. But that is over a 10% drop. I still like the company but they need to "execute much better in the future" or they will find themselves with no buyers of the stock. Originally when I first learned of this company it was presented as a super homerun, but I now am much more skeptical.

  • Why Potash Could Break Out In The Agriculture Sector [View article]
HELP- ATTENTION STOCK CROC; I need somebodys help. Has anyone ever did a true study as to how much product is left in POT's mines????? This is a legitimate question as I was reading about one of their competitiors the other day and the story said that by 2013 one of their mines would be closed because it was basically used up. Iam serious. I think if I remember correctly it was a story on Agrium. My point is that is something that should be "addressed" in a story like this one. I have NO PROBLEM with Stock Croc's story like some of the others. Iam going to get out of MOS and get into POT. But I do think more CAREFUL ANALYISIS is needed. HOPE STOCK CROC chimes in with more info.

  • 6 Major Stocks Insiders Are Snapping Up [View article]
I have learned to be "very careful" over the years on so called insider buying. You need to do the research as sometimes where it says insider transactions of purchases it will say at a zero cost. So in other words it looks like a purchase but it is actually at a cost of zero to the insider. Purchases such as that are meaningless.

  • Bakken Update: Poor Execution Is A Cause For Concern [View article]
Michael; Great article. Have you ever heard the old Wall Street saying; "where theres one cockroach there's probably more to come"???? I hope Iam wrong on KOG as I love this little company. But since your article is titled quite negatively I thought I would just pile on with you!!!!!! Hope they can get their problems rectified as I have a very "healthy position" in KOG.

  • Identifying Worthwhile Investments In Oil [View article]
Michael; Once again another very great article. I have "two questions", if STO pays the 5% dividend only once a year, why wouldn't a logical investor buy the stock a month or so before they pay it and then sell the stock right after they pay the dividend to you???? My other question is, what do you think of KOG for the long haul??? Thank You. ChuckXX PS Iam a loyal follower of yours.

  • Oasis EBITDA Ramp Continues, Overly Discounted To Peers [View article]
What "inning" would you say OAS is in regarding their 300,000+ acres in the Bakken??? Have you noticed that the analyists over the last 4 or 5 months have really "brought down" their earnings for 2013???? Back then they said $3.33 for 2013 and now they have lowered 2013 all the way down to $2.80. So what gives here????

  • Stocks Worth Buying Before Earnings: Week 6 [View article]
I just can't get into the day trade mentality. I do love KOG and currently own a ton of it. But Iam in it strictly for the long haul. Atleast 3 to 4 years.
