Thanks I'll have to look into that.

  • What's the Right Price for Oil? [View article]
I tend to agree with the point about the dollar. I strongly believe the dollar will strengthen in the coming year resulting in little growth in the price of oil. There is no doubt that while the demand for oil in the short term is relatively inelastic, it will change significantly in the long run. At $100+ oil, people are willing to make changes to reduce consumption. This is not to say oil will not go up in the long run, but I think that some people overestimate its long-term growth.

  • Two Water Transport Plays - Besides DryShips [View article]
First of all, I'm not sure it is funny or odd. Someone in the stock would have a more vested interest in paying more attention to the company. I have simply put forth two ideas, and yes, with substance, that people could look into a little more. I never recommend that you invest without doing your own research. Second, I understand that some people don't like or agree with my articles, but I am curious as to why you found it necessary and beneficial to the public, and yourself for that matter, to criticize it, especially when you offer no "substance" yourself.

  • Amazon: New Kindle To Tap $5.5 Billion Textbook Market? [View article]
A college student myself, I can attest that books are a pain. But the Kindle will need to be a very streamlined product with an abundance of features to make it truly desirable for many students. Highlighting and taking notes in a hard copy book is easy. I imagine it is somewhat harder on the Kindle. Does anyone know if there a big difference in the cost of buying the book for the Kindle as opposed to the book in hard copy? It needs to be big enough that students can actually save money over their four years. Furthermore, there is a big market for used books. I am not all that familiar with the Kindle so correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that it is not likely that a student could buy a "used" online book for cheaper that the "new" online book. Lastly, I rarely have to carry more than two books at once and often only have to have my laptop for class.

This is a great idea and is quit possible in the future, but there really needs to be a huge advantage to buying the Kindle before students will be willing to go an spend hundreds more dollars just to save some weight.

  • Coal Stocks: Make Money in Picks and Shovels [View article]
I can only see this as a short to mid term play. Coal has a relatively uncertain future because of its political volatility and an increasing call for renewable energy from the market, not just hippies.

  • Transocean's New Contract an Antidote to Oil's Volatility [View article]
Great article. I still really like the stock. It has held strong with the downturn of the market, which is a good sign for when the market begins to go up again.

  • Wachovia: Buyable? [View article]
I think that WB is a good long term buy, but I believe that in the short term the stock will continue a little further downward. Warnings about lingering effects of the credit crunch also make me wary.

  • Transocean: Cheap Stock, Worth a Look [View article]
I did not come up with that title and the fact is, the factors listed above about the company make it a much more compelling buy than other stocks. I understand that past performance is not an assurance of the future, but it can be used to show the effectiveness of a company in its market and its future potential.
