Don't forget that the iPod touch also offers the "real" internet along with WiFi connectivity.

Many users purchase Apple laptops (especially MacBook Pro) because they make viable desktop replacements. I have to agree with most folk above that the iPhone will never replace the laptop, it's just an extremely convenient way to carry a little bit of your laptop along with you.

Now if the iPod had a USB port, then we'd be talking. You'd be able to connect everything from a keyboard to an audio recording interface. Jul 09 08:29 AM

I agree with Harry, as I'm also a web developer with extensive RIA experience. Flash isn't ideal, but it's still beats the pants off Javascript/HTML driven applications.

I think Steve Jobs made it pretty clear - he isn't against using Flash, but Adobe needs to pick up the slack and improve Flash enough to be suitable for mobile browsing. Jun 18 08:50 AM
