GeoEye Looking Up: Confirms Launch Date and Releases Q1 Earnings [view article]
Hi Chris: One of the biggest risks we have with GeoEye-1 is another delayed launch or even a failed launch. Even though the launch vehicle has a nearly flawless record, we still must recognize that as a risk. Additionally, the launch date is right in the middle of hurricane season. I’d really like to get into GeoEye, but the stock price will be severely punished with any problems arising from the GeoEye launch.Do you know the costs involved in a failed or aborted mission?
