Thanks for pointing this out, it is an excellent read, though beware it takes some time to get through the full 28 pages. Dimon's comments on mark to market are particularly enlightening, given the attention MTM is getting now. As a JPM shareholder, I am more confident than ever after reading this that JPM management will ultimately reward me for my investment.

as an AAPL shareholder, I'm always looking for chinks in the armor, I'll read any article looking to get a balanced viewpoint. your article taught me nothing, as it is so full of errors. the price of the phone is insignificant compared to the total cost over the two year contract, yet you focus on it. your omission of the app store was already mentioned by others, and I don't believe Apple has a rep as being expensive, if anything, their rep is based on their high levels of user satisfaction, and ease of use. it's not a status symbol brand as you claim
Selling off individual US brands will not happen (other than perhaps Hummer). All of the brands leverage the same engineers, computer systems, manufacturing facilities and service operations. Saturn was the last brand to actually be a complete car company, but even that is no longer true, as it has been almost totally absorbed within GM. What value is a brand if it's not capable of operating independently?
