well Mr. Cook , congratulations on the numbers , excellent job, proud to be an Apple stock holder - however as far as the dividend goes 47 cents a share , take it you got the numbers mixed up and should read 74 cents a share ?

you must be kidding, with a 180 bio $ in the Bank ?
you tight bugger, i forgive you if you are reserving to buy either TomTom or IBM

I don't believe it to be false, it was wrongly timed
BBRY will partner or be sold to a strategic player, either way that should enhance the value, I believe it to happen this year and i believe it will put the stock at 15$ plus
BBRY on its own will be difficult, John Chen has done all the ground work, the company is clean and marketable, now Prem Watsa and his fellow Fund Investors will look to capitalize.

@ scott trader, could not agree more, yet I am puzzled why is it that Apple can never really translate these fantastic earnings into a new high for the stock, the stock Always tends to drift, has a tremendous hard time making a 5 or 7% move on absolutely stunning numbers, where dogs for earnings like AMZN come slightly better than a massive loss, make a 5% move on the fact they lost less than expected and Apple beats earnings by 30% and is still not at 120$, trading at a pe of 12 without the cash, like that cash is a burden, what a joke.

why is it that Apple only really starts to move higher once that Apple starts buying their own stock, 90% of the comments on Apple's papers are all loyal Longs, Apple is the most invested stock as far as investment funds go, all the activist Icahn, Einhorn like it

so where is all the freaking selling coming from, are the employees selling constantly the stock they earn out of bonus pools ?
this truly is an amazing stock, the largest market cap in the world and yet for their earning potential the most undervalued stock on the Globe, Apple should really list on the Dow, they are being depressed being underrated on the Nasdaq.

    any idea?n

  • Gazprom And China: Unnecessary Euphoria? [View article]
Gazprom and Petrobras are 2 of the worlds most undervalued energy stocks, but they are high risk, if you have an appetite for risk you should take some in your portfolio, you may have to wait 2 years and it will be a rocky ride, but there is a 100% to be made on these stocks, you may stand to drop another 35% from here, if conditions deteriorate further, I don't think either will go belly-up.
it is kind of a unique situation to be able to buy these stocks at these very depressed prices, but there is reason they are trading right here.
PBR trading at 4 x earnings and GAZ at 2 X earnings, if you trust their numbers, it's a steal, especially if Oil is overtime more of a 75 $ commodity than a 45$ commodity.

  • My Take On Amazon.com's Q4 2014 Earnings [View article]
dear Paulo, with all due respect you have been fighting this stock for ages, because you are a numbers man

forget the numbers on this stock, the day to short AMZN is the day Jeff Bezos no longer runs the show, until than either abstain or be Long, this stock is not trading on numbers, it is trading on the charisma of its cheerleader and Jef Bezos is without doubt the most exciting CEO of all publicly quoted companies, he even dwarfs the new kid running Alibaba, who is now WS Golden boy.

you are not up against AMZN, you are up against Bezos .

i have given up shorting this stock long ago, when i first noticed AMZN is trading zero for numbers, it's share price is directed 100% on sentiment.

    Investors love Bezos.

give up Paulo and come back when Bezos is suggested by Icahn to replace TC at Apple, to make it the worlds first trillion $ plus company on the Globe.

  • Can Petrobras Be Saved? [View article]
dear Author, thank you for yr excellent paper, well written and well analyzed, i could not agree more, hence that is also the reason PBR is trading @ 6$ and not 10$

PBR is no longer an investment stock, it is a Trading stock and has been ever since this whole turmoil of bribes and Politcal involvelent and choatic Management control, if you seek a major oil company for investment one should buy Exxon, Shell or Total

    PBR is all about risk/reward
so let's look at possibilities and probalities

all below 10$ on PBR is overkill, unless the company goes belly-up

so what's the risk of PBR going belly-up 5 %
    what's the possibility of PBR trading bewteen 5 and 6 $ 30%
    what's the possibility of PBR trading between 4 and 5 $ 15%
what's the possibility of PBR trading below 4$ 10%

what's the probality of PBR trading beween now and 18 months at 8 to 10 $ 75%
what's the probality of PBR trading between now and 18 months at 10 to 15$ 50%
what's the probality of PBR trading between now and 18 months at 15$ plus 15%

are those odds to have the stock say for 5% in your portfolio ?
I bloody well should think so
those are very good odds for those who have an appetite to take some risk onboard, this is an absolute unique opportunity to buy some stock at extremely depressed prices in an extremely damaged company, brought on its knees by corruption mainly, if they can get that out of the stock, that's good for a total reverse in trend.

PBR is the only Oil major which lost 90% of it's once former top mkt cap, even BP with 45 bio $ in losses in the worlds biggest oil disaster only lost half and recovered already most that's 45 bio $, with PBR we are talking a provision/write off of 20 bio $

imho buy PBR for 5% of your holdings and put the stock on ice for 18 months.

  • Unless Buffett Has Gone Gecko He Is Wrong About IBM [View article]

wow the Author must have lost a great deal of money on this stock, it reads vindictive this paper, very aggressive writing towards the company.
well i have now for the first time bought some IBM shares , @ 153 average, i feel there is going to be change, there always is after years of diminishing returns, 11 quarters of no growth, the stock has been slipping for years, but at 9 x earnings it is not expensive and it still is a money machine, it just needs to reduce overheads and operating expenses and that's exactly what they are planning to do.
you call it a cadaver, amazing.

  • Apple: Longer-Term Headwinds Make Blowout Quarter A Tough Act To Follow [View article]

for the Author and Richbar , both of you called this stock pre-split when it was trading at 450 a 350 $ stock, ever since the Author has written 3 papers a month calling for Apple's run to end

not once have either of you admitted being wrong and you have been wrong constantly, sure one day you will call this right and take all the credits for having picked the top
you are truly irresponsible and SA should not allow this Author to push out these amount of papers on Apple, I am afraid he has made a lot of people sell out their Positions, because he is without doubt a very clever writer and an intelligent person.
    you have no shame

  • Apple Lays The Runway To $150 [View article]

right you are Author, on our way to 135 $ for this year, 150$ well possible for 2016

anyway, this is stock trading and than you should have no sympathy for under-dogs, you have to go with winners and Apple are winners
so Samsung, you just go on trying to fight off the Lenovo's and Xiaomi's of this world, while Apples moves on to new highs and Heights diversifying towards new opportunities in this amazing Tech World.
Transport, health, security and so on ... Apple have so much opportunity and so much to look forward to, wow it's absolutely great to be a share holder in this stock, best decision I ever made.

  • Petrobras' Financial Condition And Outlook Might Be Worse Than Thought [View article]

good call Author, congratulations on you
i hope you made tons of money.

however now, if they take that 20 bio write off and get these accounts signed, it's likely to be a buy and i would fancy the long side for a serious bounce, again assuming they get these accounts signed off.

again, hats off to you, good call !

that's different stock purchased by Apple for bonus pool provisions for employees or company executives is not part of the buy back program, that's a completely separate issue.
most public companies have shares or share options incentives available for their key employees, those shares are obviously not being destroyed, but are handed out or reserved.
