Tallying the Damage in Solar Stocks and Sifting for Opportunity [View article]
ENER has had big buying or covering, ive watched it, traded that last surge, and admittedly long a bit premature via calls but played the puts so now theyre free... but something is up there and will continue to load and hedge... trading below net equity, as is SOLF, CSUN, i believe and ESLR... ASTI also still a wildcard and LDK an enigma, with too much debt, for now... STP looks like a long term winner and SPWRA as well
i am going for long term calls on most of these but obama need to get off his a$$ and support this industry, oh wait!, they arent banks though...

FSLR is a great short based on sector valuations, they have the best cashflow and outlook at last glance was good, but they acknowledged credit difficulties for projects which does not bode well! also they have the lowest efficiency except maybe ENER and that is not good with falling ASP's and sub $50 oil!!
YGE actually decent valuation here imo, TSL as a spec play... the sector will probably bounce into Jan inauguration etc but big pressure will remain on profits imho... also potential for near term oil contrary spike, so solar for that as well...
