What Happened to Peak Oil?

No Polititian will be brave enough to do the right thing suggested above by nakedjaybird. Imagine a majority of Congress and a President who will sign a bill into law that will actually solve our foreign energy dependence problem-until hell freezes over or the second coming of Christ. What about social security reform and Medicare reform? The current lists of elected officials can't even install adequate oversight over those big social programs which saps the energy out of our GDP.

The oil problem has a simple cure and doesn't need solution by any governmental intervention. The driving public actually can and has reigned in demand by simply stop driving gas sucking and energy inefficient trucks and SUV's. I look forward to the days where by force of high price of oil leads to forced energy conservation in our nation of selfish wasteful consumerism and foolish fads with trucks and SUV's.

The lunatic fringe and environmental "save the earth by reverting back to prehistoric technology" group are against building more storage tanks in Delaware/NJ. As a result Americans will never enjoy the price breaks the supply demand curve which rules the free market economies often brings. Same with offshore drilling and harvesting the forests resources that the USA have which are periodically going up in flames from natural forest fires. The tyranny of vocal activist minority views ruling in our democracy is a travesty born of submission by the silent majority.

Is EPA Ethanol Mandate a Joke?

We really should go in the opposite direction to these ill conceived and scientifically nonsense ideas that adding additives like ethanol will help us drop our dependency on foreign (Arab) oil. Since it can be verified thermodynamically that ethanol has less energy per gallon than pure gasoline and that today's modern cars and vehicles with catalytic converters and other emissions controllers prevent the tailpipe gases from fouling the air quality the incorrect idea that oxygenated fuels would improve emissions quality should be changed. Today's cars and trucks will get more miles per gallon from pure 100% gasoline fuels that are refined from DOMESTIC oil field sources (like the Alaskan oil fields and offshore oil fields which are being developed by the Chinese with Cuban help!). Americans should wake up and admit that inorder to enjoy energy independence we must start developing our own natural resorces and stop buying the oil from the Middleeast. Tell our Congress to approve domestic oil production and use what God gave us. Use the Corn for food and beef on cornfed diets will be mad-cow-free and the costs of everything will drop while USA productivity and inflation will improve!
