InterOil: Uncertainty Fading

Could today 's trading be a strategy from a short so the stock opens tomorrow down 30% and scare everybody....? I heard it was a mistake from a trader , whatever it is , people are getting REALLY nervous. Anybody?

Unfotunately you will always find a lot of Alans in this type of asset class. Remember stocklemon.com ? Not the most qualified investor , hence their vocabulary. Nevertheless dont forget that these guys are the ones who trade the stock on a daily basis. Alan I am sure is short the stock big time , he is angry , and will do everything in his hands to dispute the story. This is why it is so important that an independent assesment is out ,and third party deal is achieved . In the mean time Alan , Stocklemon.com etc will own the stock. By the time they get short squeezed ( if they ever do ! ) They probably made a lot of money trading it on a daily basis . By the looks of it though, our friend Alan here is in a lot of pain ...

It is great seeing longs and shorts having a go at each other... That makes a market! I have been long and short this company , One thing is certain, I would not risk being short at the moment, rather not own it at all... It will be very interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks. I saw Mulacek in Europe not long ago. I am really impressed by the way Clarion converted debt into equity , and how easy it was to raise the cash to pay Merrill. You may agree or not with the story , but at the moment I find it not very wise to be short the stock , especially knowing the short interest! . It will also be very interesting to see what Netherland Sewell has to say. Raymond James has been behind this company a long time , and they have always been very bullish. Right or wrong , I am sure NS will provide with a very much needed independent assesment. Again , what would happen to the stock given the massive short interest? Are there any precedents?

What is going to happen to all this shorts if they end up being wrong ? How can they cover if there arent any shares out there (size)? Shouldnt somebody be looking into this?
