  • Time to Bail on Shale? [View article]
What does this imply for pipeline companies? Notwithstanding line access and capacity restraints, doesn't this scenario bode well for consumption throughput?

  • Betting on Natural Gas, Part II: Investing Ideas [View article]
If the NG to be imported as LNG was provided gratus, it would cost more to liquify, transport, and reverse process than domestic gas in todays pipelines. The only rationale for LNG is to balance geographic availability.

  • How Much Natural Gas Remains in the USA? [View article]
Thanks for the article. Well followed; the comments while at times rather lengthy, are indicative of the interest you surface.

Two points, if I may. First, I submit it's a trees and forest scenario. What's proven and/or unproven is moot. If we all agree there is ten years established, that's a lifetime in oil exploration and NG as well.

In addition, the toxicity regards fracturing pales compared to the problems existing today with coal burning residues. At issue is state regulation verses the EPA. There are no standards similar, for example, to OHSA in the workplace. Think about it. Nuclear waste, Coal Ash, Oil Spills, and Shale Fracturing. All contamination issues and a landscape of the countries Energy Policy, or lack thereof.

Then change brokers. A broker's bond desk can search the entire market for availability not just what's in their inventory. But, you must go through their rep; not available "on-line"

Unfortunately, KPM is not an IRA holding candidate. The tax free feature is eliminated and must be passed through. Otherwise, I agree but prefer EP fro both entry price (about 20) and growth potential

The key is allocating the resources where most efficient. Natural gas pipelines already exist to satisfy most winter home heating requirerments. NG for power plants should be minimized. The challange is to maximize converting residential users from oil to NG. Oil's dirty and expensive to transport and should be directed towards autos where refined product is pipelined. Nuclear obvioulsy needs to be controlled thus power plants. Get rid of coal burning; conversion to gas and/or liquids exclusively.

Only the Fed can make this happen. Unfortunately, our elected officials have neither the fortitude or wisdom
